Hi, I'm Janet a certified personal trainer and my passion is to help people feel great through exercise and movement. Here are a few known facts: As we age we tend to move less, our bodies hurt more, and we realize that time passes fast. I teach people how to exercise so that they can continue to live life to the fullest.
Taking care of yourself doesn't have to feel overwhelming, intimidating, or selfish. I believe that, with a little support, people can create meaningful change to their health and wellbeing - and that's exactly what I have been doing for the last 30 years.
I have had the opportunity to work with over 500 clients in my career so far and the one thing I have learned is that everybody and every body moves differently. We have all been through different experiences, injuries, and traumas that have affected the way our bodies move. Cookie cutter programs don't work, you need to be treated like the unique individual that you are.

COMMON THOUGHT: Going to the gym and getting on a machine will get me the results I am looking for.
REALITY: Focusing on the muscle you are working and feeling it contract throughout the entire movement is what gets the results.
COMMON THOUGHT: To get fit I need to spend hours in the gym.
REALITY: To get and stay fit you need to come up with a plan that works for your lifestyle right now and know it will look different at different stages in your life.
COMMON THOUGHT: For exercise to be effective I have to sweat lots, it will hurt, and it's not going to be enjoyable.
REALITY: If you know and understand what your body needs and how to move it effectively and efficiently, you don't always have to sweat, it shouldn't hurt, and you can enjoy it.
